Northern Territory
The Territory is what some see as uniquely ‘Australian’. It is home of the the Red Centre, Ayers Rock or Uluru, the nearby Olgas, the surrounding red sands, vast landscape and Kings Canyon, Australia’s largest rocky plateau. Watching the sun rise and set over Ayers Rock is truly spectacular. Also take the opportunity to see the local Aboriginal art and understand their Dreamtime culture.
The top end, in the north, near the capital Darwin, is home to Kakadu National Park, its tropical wetlands, full of natural wildlife, including crocodiles and birdlife. To the south-west of Kakadu is Edith Falls, take in the stunning views and waterfall and enjoy a swim, before cruising Katherine Gorge.
